FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Skymira Recognized as Verizon Frontline Verified Partner
Skymira helps public safety agencies extend radio coverage over the Verizon network they already trust – keeping mission-critical communications connected beyond line-of-sight.
Milford, CT — June 18, 2026 — Skymira, a leader in radio over IP solutions that extend radio coverage over cellular and satellite networks, has been recognized as a Verizon Frontline Verified partner. This partnership reinforces Skymira’s long-standing commitment to helping public safety agencies keep mission-critical communications connected wherever duty calls.
The Verizon Frontline Verified program is a special designation for vendors whose products have been tested and met the rigorous standards required for public safety use on the Verizon network. The products eligible for this status are specifically designed to meet the needs of public safety officials and first responders during all types of operations and emergencies.
As part of the program, the Skymira GoKIT provides a rapidly deployable solution for extending existing land mobile radio systems over Verizon cellular and satellite networks. Agencies can use the solution to support disaster response, large-scale events, remote operations, and temporary command environments where radio coverage, interoperability, and operational resilience are critical.
Through its work with Verizon, Skymira helps agencies connect their two-way radios to the same Verizon network they already use for phones, tablets, and mobile data. Skymira extends radio coverage beyond line-of-sight without replacing existing radio systems. This helps teams unify communications, improve interoperability, and maintain reliable push-to-talk connectivity in remote areas, disaster zones, and other environments where traditional radio coverage may be limited or unavailable.
“Public safety agencies and first responders depend on communications that work,” said Bob Landsfield, Founder and CEO of Skymira. “Our recognition through the Verizon Frontline Verified program gives them added confidence in choosing a solution they can rely on when traditional radio networks are limited, damaged, or out of range.”
