Skymira has stated that Compressco has requested them to setup a monitoring solution utilizing over four thousand Skywave DMR 800D terminals. Compressco is a manufacturer in the oil/gas compression sector and will use the Skywave terminals for remote equipment monitoring. Compressco, a subsidiary of TETRA Technologies, is headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is a manufacturer of production enhancement solutions for marginal and low pressure oil and gas wells. Skymira claims that it delivers the industry’s first truly tailored remote information solutions for seamless management of remote operations through a complete set of state-of-the-art satellite and cellular technologies.
The Skywave DMR-800D terminal is a compact, environmentally sealed unit that is easy to install and maintain. With a broad range of application support features and programmability, it maybe the entire hardware user would need for their remote fixed and mobile applications on land or sea.
The solution can be used to have global wireless/satellite communication with field workers. Oil and gas industries can use the solution for real-time remote monitoring of equipment and pipelines with the highest level of information security.
Compressco as a supplier of production enhancement solutions for marginal and low pressure oil and gas wells selected Skymira to streamline its information management processes originating from North American locations of its GasJack compressor installed base. The DMR800 works seamlessly with SCADA / Telemetry on compressors, enabling companies like Compressco to retrieve remote information in one common data stream from oil and gas well worksites around the globe, in real time.
For Skymira customer success stories from the oil and gas industries demonstrated that field operations can be successfully streamlined to achieve a rapid increase in productivity levels and higher overall profits. The company says that the agile nature of Skywave DMR-800D makes it work along with numerous industry applications including telemetry monitoring and SCADA control systems, guaranteeing valuable, real-time and efficient oversight of remote operations at global worksites.
Compressco has stated that the 800D terminal helped them to monitor compressor performance remotely, decreasing response time for repairs and significantly increasing the level of service they had been providing to their customers. The company says they hired Skymira because only Skymira’s TailorFit solution was capable of addressing the specific back-end data format they had required.
